For Micun!

I guess I could consider this my first real commission.. Other than that horrible thing I did for Munzo years and years ago.. (This one was much more fun.. And I got paid better, too! xD)

It's Micun's three favorite Pokémon... Piplup, Drifloon, and, since he likes Arcanine, I did a Growlithe.. I hope he doesn't mind that.. xD I had already inked it when I realized that it wasn't Arcanine, but Growlith! It looks cuter in the picture anyway, right right?

My first real CG.. Other than Oekakis and stuff. Wow.

I imagine they're all sleepy because they spent a long day training hard! xD

growlithe is so precious. <3 he looks cuddly and so approachable here. and i say it's a great stab at CG! nice crisp lines and i like the simplistic shading. the bright colors kinda throw themselves out there anyway so the lack of shading works really well i think!

Yeah, for the shading I wanted to do something softer.. At first I was trying to go for a cel-shaded look, but, it ended up looking better if I smudged it.. So that's what I went with.

Mmm.. Practice? ^^ And a blur tool! Haha. ;

I used Serif PhotoEditor 6 if that helps you any.. It's free. Just get in there and start playing around with the tools, you'll eventually be able to create something great. n_n
